Creating New Year Resolutions with Bipolar

1. It is important to set daily goals. 

2. Our moods, energy levels and meds will change through out the year.

3. Plan for the chemical shifts and do not lose hope, it will pass. 

4. Realize that no matter the outcome of the goal, it does not determine your self worth.

5. Create a journal and fill it with daily thoughts, gratitude, moods, or art.

6. Find a accountability partner that you trust. They can help you with your goals and be a support.

7. Try to create a sleep schedule. A set one like 10p-6a or just aim 7-9 hours a night/day.

8. Read more on bipolar and any other symptoms you may struggle with. Educate yourself as much as you can.

9. Follow up with or find a primary doctor and PsyD. If you do not have insurance look for clinics, groups and meetings. There are a lot tools and help outside of a doctors office.

10. Remember to take life one day at a time and find what makes you most feel fulfilled.

I wish everyone a wonderful year, but more importantly days filled with purpose and passion.
